There are drilling rigs glowing with red fire
In the middle of the ocean with thousands of waves
Despite the dangers of storms or tempests
Still resiliently bearing the Vietnamese form.

44 years still standing tall
Digging oil from the deep blue ocean
Thousands of hearts, thousands of green heads Searching
for black gold to make the Fatherland shine.

We will always call Vietsovpetro the name of
the solidarity between the two nations
Half a century after liberation,
sharing the same desire to find oil.

This March we meet again
In the middle of the ocean, in the peaceful season, the sea is calm
The workers among the bright colors of the flags Sweating
on their shoulders in the middle of the sea and sky.

The proud drilling rigs in the middle of the ocean
On them are miners
Regardless of danger, hardship or difficulty
, Drilling and drawing oil from the ocean floor.

Peacetime is not a battlefield
. Hardships and difficulties are unpredictable.
There are painful sacrifices ahead.
There are people lying far away at sea.

And today the workers enter their shift,
The stream flows between the bright night sea
, At dawn or dusk,
Their foreheads are covered with sweat from their selfless labor.

44 years there at dawn
The drilling rigs have never stopped burning
That is the light of proud belief
In the hearts of Vietnamese – Soviet soldiers and workers.

44 years of building a Vietsovpetro foundation
that is constantly developing
“One team, one goal”, many hearts dedicated
to the journey of keeping the fire burning for the future.
